Cary Martinez is a living testament of faith and the importance of routine checkups.
"I have now been a breast cancer survivor for 14 years. Coincidentally, I was diagnosed in October (BCA month) in the year 2000, and had to go into immediate surgery. Because of my unwavering faith, I knew God was by my side during this extremely difficult time. The strength and support of my children, husband, grandchildren and entire family is what gave me the courage to fight this battle with full force. After my experience, I can not emphasize enough how important it is to go for your routine checkups. After all, that routine checkup saved my life. I give thanks to God everyday for being able to overcome that battle, and not a moment goes by that I am not appreciative for the life I am able to live and the life I will be blessed to continue living."
