What a year 2019 was. It quite literally felt as if 2,019 things happened in 365 days.
As we head into 2020 with endless excitement and grateful hearts, we’re noting our top 19 moments of the very, very busy trip around the sun that was 2019.
1. LEATHER GO
We stepped outside of our shiny-gold comfort zone and launched personalized leather goods! From key chains to card cases, pouches and even luggage tags, our leather pretties (made of genuine saffinao leather!) have been loved by all! You can check out all of our leather stunners here!
2. YES SHE CAN
On International Women’s Day, we hosted a girl-power business presentation and pop-up in collaboration with the fierce females of Starboard Cruise Services, a premier cruise-industry retailer. The empowering morning gave us all the feels and inspired endless meaningful connections.
3. IN ALL CAPS
The #taudsquad traveled to Washington, D.C. to host an all-female-entrepreneur panel and shopping event in partnership with WeWork and a bevy of D.C.-based boss babes. It was our first pop-up outside of the Sunshine State and will forever be remembered as extra special.
4. LITTLE JEWEL
A baby taudrey girl joined the gang. Grace, a #taudsquad crafter and head of collections, gave birth to gorgeous Ruby Juliet Monteagudo on March 31. Ruby showed her #taudreygirl spirit from day one and has been well accessorized ever since.
5. PRETTY IN THE BIG CITY
The #taudsquad visited New York, NY to lead a personalized jewelry activation at the Mother’s Mercado. The event was hosted by e-commerce leader Shopify and The Mom Economy, an innovative non-profit that focuses on work-development programs for mother entrepreneurs. During the trip, we also attended the Create & Cultivate conference in Brooklyn! 6. COMIN' IN HOT!
Stepping out of our comfort zone again, we launched two sizes of our first-ever candle. The pure lavender scent of the Girl Power Candle is a dream and has been so well received, we literally can’t keep them in stock!
7. IN GOOD COMPANY
Throughout 2019, we were sweetly asked by great brands to present within their spaces. We co-hosted a shopping event with house of lilac and eberjey, led a mompreneur-focused panel and pop-up with Saks Fifth Avenue, and offered a personalized-jewelry activation with Diane von Furstenberg!
8. GO TEAM!
Jen Mercado, and her plant-care wizardly, joined the #taudsquad this year. Jen works as manager of the taudrey showroom (#thejewelrybox) and also assists with crafting and creative projects. Most significantly, she has a giant heart, an illuminating smile and is truly the ultimate team player.
9. OH, THIS OLE THING?
Our pretties got new dresses in 2019. Yup, every taudrey piece is now presented in the sweetest, blush-colored storage pouch. We actually updated our entire packaging presentation this year, but the new pouches surely stole the show.
10. BEACH, PLEASE!
We collaborated with Miami-based style influencer Kelly Saks to present a group of vibrant, summer-perfect accessories in celebration of Kelly’s most memorable coastal experiences. The launch was extremely well received and surely one of our most fun collections ever.
11. DOUBLE DIGITS
In July, we celebrated an entire decade of taudrey goodness. And we culminated the big 1-0 with our biggest event to date! We partied with loyal fans, friends and family at Miami Beach’s 1 Hotel and well, it was a white party for the history books. You can check out all of the fun party pics here!
12. WORK DONE
We worked with our friend Lauren Navarro from orchard + olive to beautifully renovate our showroom! From fresh paint to an interactive mirror wall and a completely revamped workshop, the new look was one we worked crazy hard for, but WOW was it worth it.
13. EXTRA, EXTRA!
From social-media takeovers to on-air segments, we were sweetly featured by different media favorites this year. Some of our tops included NBC South Florida’s 6 in the Mix featuring taudrey in a segment highlighting Miami's girl-boss movement, and Indulge Magazine presenting Tiff and “D” as guides to the city of Coral Gables in its November issue!
14. PINKY PROMISE
In the month of October, the #taudsquad celebrated and honored all strong women through various Breast Cancer Awareness efforts. With a pink-themed photoshoot, special collection of which 20% of proceeds were donated, and a sweet “Pink Party,” we were honored to use our business as a means to give back. 15. BOSS BABES
Our little company was selected to join the Female Founder Collective, a national network of female-owned businesses started by designer and fashion leader Rebecca Minkoff. Within the network, companies are encouraged to use the identifying Female Founder Collective (FCC) seal to guide consumers in recognizing the network's brands as those owned by females.
16. GO WEST
We worked with Tenley Molzahn Leopold of Bachelor Franchise fame to present a collection of accessories aimed at inspiring women to celebrate their perfectly individual inner shine. The pretties feature dainty chains, subtle crystals and sweet ways to personalize. And the #taudsquad traveled west to celebrate the launch with Tenley and friends at Swirl Boutique in Carlsbad, CA. The fun event was gorgeously detailed and attended by the absolute sweetest group. We're sending giant thank yous to all those who helped make the evening so meaningful. 17. ACTION!
With a new showroom look and a new team member, we just had to have a new brand video developed! The fresh capture of the taudrey story is sweet and upbeat, and features the best cameos EVER by Zoe the French Bulldog.
18. GIVING BACK TO MOVE FORWARD!
On Giving Tuesday, the international day of holiday-season charitable giving, we launched our Give Back Collection, a group of pretties with serious purpose. A percentage of proceeds made from each collection piece will be lovingly donated to a special cause/organization. You can shop the full collection here!
19. CREATING AMAZINGNESS
Due to an amazing opportunity by Lenovo, we were granted the ridiculously great opportunity to present a personalized jewelry activation and pop-up at Create & Cultivate’s Miami Vision Summit! Create & Cultivate is both an online community and traveling conference offering up everything you didn't know you wanted and needed from such. The all-day conference featured informative panel discussions and networking opportunities, and endless activations, instagrammable moments, good eats, bubbles, and most significantly, great groups of inspiring women!
